Known for expanding the role of pedal steel far beyond traditional country music, Franklin has become one of the most influential and recorded steel guitarists in modern music history. His career has earned him multiple ACM honors, CMA nominations, and induction into both the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame and the Musicians Hall of Fame.
