Jeremy Cottrell
Engineer
Jeremy is the head studio instructor for The Blackbird Academy. After graduating from The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, AZ in 2000, Jeremy moved to Nashville and joined Sound Stage Studios; working with such artists as Wynona and Peter Frampton. From there, Jeremy moved to Sputnik Sound, where he worked on the Grammy-winning album The Eleventh Hour by Jars of Clay. In 2002, Jeremy met John McBride, recorded a few live concerts for artists including Martina McBride and ZZ Top and then became a staff engineer at Blackbird Studio. While at Blackbird, Jeremy has worked with such artists as Sheryl Crow, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Martina McBride, Keith Urban, Alison Krauss, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kid Rock, Jars of Clay, John Hiatt, and many, many more. Jeremy is a published songwriter (Melody Roundup Music, 2010—2012) with songs recorded internationally and is a member of BMI.
